REIKI TRAINING DURING NATIONAL LOCKDOWN

In the first lockdown, I decided against teaching online for a number of reasons - fundamentally, I felt that teaching practical holistic therapies such as Reiki on line made no sense, but also, very importantly distant attunements and online Reiki training were not recognised by professional organisations. However, nearly a year on, we are emersed in another National lockdown and normal life has changed immeasurably. Since March last year, meetings, learning, teaching, exercising, socialising and keeping connected to one another has all gone online. Although it's never the same as in person, it has been a lifeline for us all in this challenging time, enabled many to survive professionally and opened us up to new experiences. 

 

With regards to teaching Reiki in this way, Reiki organisations and professional bodies such as the Federation of Holistic Therapists (whom I belong to ) have recognised that at the present moment teachers will need to deliver their Reiki training online, and therefore will be accepted professionally as long as follow up attunements and hands-on training is carried out in person when restrictions ease. I figure that if I enjoy taking yoga and barre classes online and all the school teachers in the country are delivering the national curriculum this way, then a 3rd National lockdown should not stop me sharing the gift of Reiki either!

 

So without further ado, The Wellbeing Workshop courses are going live online for those who are unable to attend in person. The course content will be delivered via Zoom and each student will receive an individual 'distant' attunement, which will empower them to give Reiki to themselves, their household (including pets) / bubble (level 1) and for those who take Level 2, will be able to give distant healing which will enable them to give Reiki to people (or animals) outside of their household too. As soon as we are safely out of lockdown each student will need to attend a follow-up further practice and development day(s) here at The Wellbeing Workshop so that I can give students their additional in-person attunement and work directly with them on their developing their practical skills. 

 

The online classes will take place live via Zoom with a maximum of 4 students. All participants will receive a package with their learning materials/resources, before the course date. 

 

Students will begin their Reiki journey from the comfort of their own home, with the added bonus of having an additional training day banked for the future at no additional cost.
